NYFW Street Style

New York Fashion Week is always a huge source of fashion inspiration, both on and off the runway. I love scrolling The Sartorialist and other street style photographers during fashion week to see how editors and stylists dress for shows and how models achieve that "model off duty" look. During said scrolling, I just stumbled upon this amazing NYFW photo of a stylish someone dressing up an on-trend oversized sports jersey with a black pencil skirt and a vintage Whiting & Davis gold clutch... street style perfection, don't you think?

Some places are magical. One of these places is the Magic Castle. For those not familiar with its glory, the Magic Castle is an old Hollywood mansion that functions as a secret society of sorts for magicians. To enter, one must be a member, and to be a member, one must be a first class magician. You may be thinking that this doesn't sound all that cool, but trust me, it absolutely is. One magical evening, my Whiting & Davis Cage Minaudiere and I were lucky enough to be invited into the castle as guests, and it was truly an awe-inspiring experience. While photos were strictly prohibited, I managed to snap a quick one in this fabulous ladies powder room between intimate magic performances, one of which was an illusion by a charming gentleman who I'm told was Frank Sinatra's personal magician. Only in LA.

With our history dating back to 1876, it is so much fun to go back into the archives. One of our favorite fashion editorials to date is this 1967 photo of Twiggy rocking a metal mesh hood designed by Roberto Rojas. How amazing is this?? Photographed by fashion legend Bert Stern, the iconic Twiggy is a 1960s psychedelic goddess in metal mesh.
